What is WingTsun

What is WingTsun

WingTsun is personal development

WingTsun training takes place in groups, but always with attention to the individual.
The personal abilities of each student are encouraged and developed.

WT is non-violent

WingTsun instructors are against all forms of violence.
WingTsun is pure self-defense.

WT is fun

Instructors pass on their knowledge in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

WT is intense and versatile

Self-defense skills are learned through regular and focused training.

WingTsun is based on unique and multifunctional techniques that can only be learned through constant practice and conscious effort.
Fluid movements and sudden accelerations merge into coordinated and systematic sequences, forming a powerful whole.

Systematic WingTsun training improves physical and mental flexibility and sharpens perception.
During this process, the body is “replenished” through specific relaxation techniques, concentration, and breathing exercises.

The principles of WingTsun

WingTsun is founded on the potential already present in each student.

Muscular strength or physical endurance are not required, but rather the willingness to let the body react, to know one's strengths and put them into practice.

Training focuses on acquiring a coordinated and healthy way of moving, and on deeper perception.

Benefits of WingTsun

Learning WingTsun means acquiring a new awareness of one's body and a higher level of self-confidence.

Intensive training gives greater confidence and leads to recognizing one's abilities and potential.

This new inner confidence and physical well-being lead to a new quality of life: personal limitations become less relevant in everyday life.

Life becomes more varied and dynamic.

WingTsun students stop being "the victim type" and, precisely for this reason, rarely find themselves in dangerous situations.

WingTsun as self-defense

But if necessary, they possess an effective system of unarmed defense.

WingTsun is self-defense without compromise.
It absorbs the attacker's strength, transforms it into one's own strength, amplifies it and redirects it against the aggressor.

This process is similar to a game of chess:
the chess player is in tune with their pieces and instinctively knows the next move, having already anticipated the opponent's actions.

Similarly, the WingTsun practitioner immediately uses their reflexes when in action.
