Become a Teacher

Become an Instructor

Becoming an EWTO instructor means joining a large WingTsun organization, with thousands of active schools and academies throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Being an EWTO instructor means undertaking a training path structured on two main levels: martial and professional.

The martial path develops through constant training with one's instructor and technical refinement with Grand Masters, in a continuous growth process that leads to increasingly higher levels of competence.

In parallel, the professional path aims at the training and qualification of the instructor figure. EWTO offers a structured program in four Trainer levels, which represent the basis of professionalization, to which further optional specializations can be added, such as:
- Children's Educator
- Violence Prevention
- Women's Self-Defense
- Chi-Kung Trainer
- and many other areas of in-depth study.

The first step in this journey is to start the EWTO Trainer Program.

The Trainer Path

The EWTO Trainer is a continuous training program dedicated to those who wish to develop the necessary skills to teach according to the organization's international standards and become a professional in the field.

Through theoretical and practical modules, the program offers comprehensive preparation on:
• Methodology and didactics
• Group management and communication with students
• Principles of safety, pedagogy, and psychology of teaching
• Synthetic structure and progression of EWTO programs

The path is open to all grades and can also be undertaken by those who do not yet have their own group of students. In EWTO, it already represents a mandatory step for teaching; in Italy today, it is optional but highly recommended for those who wish to open a school or collaborate with an instructor in their school.

The Levels of the Trainer Path

The journey to become an EWTO instructor is divided into progressive phases, each of which consolidates knowledge and teaching skills.

🎓 Assistant Trainer

This is the first official step towards teaching.
Those who have reached at least the 6th Student Grade (in motivated cases, also from the 4th SG) can access this phase. It allows one to understand the basic principles of EWTO didactics and gain confidence in transmission. The student learns to actively collaborate with their instructor, supporting small groups and simple parts of lessons.
They delve into communication, correction, and group management.
The Assistant Trainer collaborates with an instructor, exclusively in the latter's school, learning group dynamics and the methodological approach of the EWTO system on the field.

🎓 Trainer 1

Those who have reached at least the 8th Student Grade can access this phase. It deepens methodological skills and the structure of the EWTO program.
Trainer 1 learns to independently manage the organizational aspects of an EWTO school: enrollments, communication with students, administrative management, contracts, revenue, and course structure, developing the foundation for professional teaching that complies with national standards.

🎓 Trainer 2

Those who have reached at least the 10th Student Grade can access this phase. It develops planning, management, and communication skills.
It consolidates one's technical and pedagogical skills, with the aim of leading a stable group and actively contributing to the growth of their training center.
Trainer II delves into program management, organization, and conducting exams for adults, teenagers, and children, according to official EWTO standards.
They also learn to manage the promotion of their school: advertising, social media, contacts, and effective communication strategies to attract new students and consolidate their professional image.

🎓 Trainer 3

Those who have reached at least the 12th Student Grade can access this phase. It represents the highest level of EWTO didactic training.
Trainer 3 enters the managerial and strategic dimension of teaching: plans a sustainable business plan, diversifies revenue streams, and consolidates the school's growth.
They delve into the importance of continuous training (Escrima, Chi Kung, Magic Hands, Kids WingTsun, etc.) and develop leadership and motivation skills, fundamental for guiding other instructors and creating a successful martial community.
With Trainer 3 level and the 12th SG (Instructor Grade), it is possible to apply for the official EWTO license and open one's own school to teach WingTsun independently.
